Paideia Collection

Trust & Transparency

Our policies are written plainly, with your family's trust in mind. You deserve to know exactly how we handle your information and how we operate.

A Simple Promise: Your Data Stays With You

Many companies fund their work by selling access to user data. We do not. Paideia Collection is subscription-supported. Your membership pays for the library — not your information.

Policy Document

Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 21, 2026

PaideiaCollection, LLC ("Paideia Collection," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of every family who uses our platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit paideiacollection.com, use our applications, or otherwise interact with us.

We have built Paideia Collection as a subscription-supported service. Your data is not our product, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Email address
  • Account login credentials
  • Billing information (processed by our payment processor)
  • Communications you send to us
  • Titles, authors, or other content you share (e.g., through waitlists or feedback forms)
  • Profile information you choose to provide

B. Child Profile Information

  • Child profiles exist under a parent or guardian account. Children do not create independent accounts.
  • We do not collect real names from children.
  • Each child selects an avatar and is assigned a randomly generated display name.
  • No direct contact information is collected from children.
  • Parents retain full control and visibility over all child profiles.

C. Payment Information

If you subscribe, payment card information is processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

D. Usage and Device Information (Collected Automatically)

We automatically collect limited technical information, including device type, browser type, operating system, general geographic location (country/region level), and platform interaction data (such as listening activity, navigation patterns, and feature usage). This data helps us improve reliability, personalization, and platform performance.

E. Categories of Personal Information Under Certain State Laws

Depending on applicable law, the personal information we collect may include: identifiers (such as email address); commercial information (subscription status and transaction history); internet or network activity information; general geolocation data (country/region level); and inferences derived from usage data for personalization. We do not collect Social Security numbers or government-issued identification numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to provide, operate, and maintain the platform; process subscriptions and payments; send transactional communications (receipts, service notices); send product updates where you have opted in; personalize listening experiences and family profiles; improve functionality, reliability, and security; respond to support inquiries; comply with legal obligations; and prevent fraud or misuse of the service. We do not use personal information for behavioral advertising.

3. Information Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We may share information with trusted service providers who perform services on our behalf — such as payment processors, cloud hosting providers, email delivery services, customer support platforms, security and fraud prevention providers, and analytics providers for internal product improvement only. These service providers are contractually restricted from using your information for purposes other than providing services to us.

We may also disclose information to comply with applicable law or legal process; to enforce our terms and policies; to protect rights, safety, and security; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued privacy protections.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it, consistent with applicable law.

5. Data Deletion

You may delete your account and associated personal information at any time through the "Erase My Data" option within your account settings, or by emailing us at [email protected]. Deletion requests are subject to any legal retention requirements (for example, financial recordkeeping obligations).

6. Children's Privacy

We design our platform with children's privacy in mind. Children do not create independent accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Child profiles use avatars and randomly generated display names, and children do not have access to billing, account settings, or external communications. Parents or guardians maintain full control of all family profiles. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child inconsistently with this policy, please contact us immediately.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where appropriate, access controls, and routine security reviews. No system is completely secure, but protecting your family's information is a responsibility we take seriously.

8. Your Privacy Rights Under U.S. State Laws

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to confirm whether we process your personal information; the right to access and obtain a copy; the right to correct inaccuracies; the right to request deletion; the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling (not applicable based on our current practices); and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. To exercise applicable rights, submit a verifiable request to [email protected]. We may request information to verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 45 days, with extensions where permitted).

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at [email protected]. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Authorized Agents (California Residents). California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf, subject to verification requirements.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify members by email and update the effective date above.

Questions about privacy? Write to us at [email protected] — we respond to every message.

As we grow, we may designate dedicated privacy and legal contact addresses. Until then, all inquiries are routed through this address.

Cookie Policy

Effective date: February 21, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how PaideiaCollection, LLC uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and applications.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and session state across page loads and visits.

Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in and remember your session state. Without them, our platform cannot function. These cannot be disabled.

Preference cookies remember your settings — such as playback speed, volume, and active family profile — so you don't have to reconfigure them each visit.

Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the platform in aggregate — which sections are visited, where listeners drop off, and how features perform. We use this data to improve the experience. These cookies collect no personally identifying information, and we do not share this data with third parties for advertising purposes.

What We Do Not Use

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not load third-party ad networks. We do not allow any company to place cookies on your device for the purpose of targeting you with advertisements.

Your Choices

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the platform. An in-product opt-out for analytics cookies is on our roadmap — we'll update this policy when it becomes available.

For questions about our use of cookies, email [email protected].

Terms of Use

Effective date: February 21, 2026

Welcome to Paideia Collection.

A Plain-English Summary

We want these Terms to be understandable. Here’s the short version:

  • You must be an adult to create an account.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel.
  • You may cancel at any time to stop future billing.
  • Your membership is for personal family use only.
  • You may not copy, distribute, or resell our content.
  • By creating an account, you consent to receive operational communications from us by email (such as billing notices, password resets, and important service updates). You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. If you enable SMS features like two-factor authentication, you consent to receive relevant text messages.
  • We provide the service “as is,” and while we aim for reliability, we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • If something goes wrong, our maximum liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the issue arose.
  • Indiana law governs these Terms.

The full legal Terms below control if there is any conflict with this summary.

1. Definitions

"Service" means the Paideia Collection website, applications, and subscription platform. "User" means the individual who creates an account and any permitted family members using the account. "Account Holder" means the adult who registers and is responsible for the account. "Content" means audiobooks, recordings, text, artwork, software, and other materials provided through the Service. "Subscription" means a paid membership granting access to the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for residents of the United States. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase a Subscription. Child profiles may be created under a parent or guardian account. Children may not create independent accounts. By registering, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, all activity that occurs under your account, and providing accurate account information. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). Unless you cancel before the end of your current billing period, your Subscription will automatically renew at the then-current rate. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will stop future renewals but does not retroactively refund prior charges except as described below. We may change subscription pricing upon reasonable notice; changes will apply to future billing periods.

5. Refund Policy

We want families to feel confident in joining Paideia Collection. If you are dissatisfied, contact us at [email protected] and we will review refund requests in good faith. Except where required by law, refunds are granted at our discretion.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). We do not store full payment card information on our servers. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize us to charge your selected payment method. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge or suspend access until payment is resolved.

7. Permitted Use

Your Subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial family use. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, or resell Content
  • Share your account outside your household
  • Circumvent security or access controls
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the platform
  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.

8. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email. Certain communications — including those related to billing, account security, two-factor authentication, password recovery, payment issues, and material changes to our Service or these Terms — are operational in nature and are a condition of maintaining an account. You may not opt out of these communications while your account remains active.

If you separately consent to receive marketing or promotional communications, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such email or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect the delivery of operational communications described above.

If you provide a mobile phone number and enable a feature that uses SMS (such as two-factor authentication), you consent to receive text messages from us for that purpose. Standard message and data rates may apply. If we separately offer marketing text messages, we will seek your express consent before sending them, and you may opt out at any time by replying STOP or following any other opt-out instructions provided at the time of consent.

9. Intellectual Property

All Content and platform materials are owned by Paideia Collection or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership rights to you.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand how we collect and use information.

11. Modification of the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (such as by email or posting an updated effective date). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful or unlawful conduct. Upon termination, your access to the Service will end and outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paideia Collection disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paideia Collection shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the first event giving rise to the claim. Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Indiana. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

16. Survival

Sections relating to Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and any provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect after termination.

Questions about these Terms? Email us at [email protected].

We currently route all correspondence through a single address. Dedicated contacts for legal matters are on our roadmap as we grow.

Transparency Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Fiscal year: 2025–2026

PaideiaCollection, LLC is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. Modern slavery — including forced labor, human trafficking, and exploitative labor practices — has no place in our operations or in the relationships that support our work.

Although we are not legally required to publish a modern slavery statement under U.S. law, we believe transparency and responsible business practices matter.

Our Business

Paideia Collection is a small, family-founded company providing classical audiobook content through a subscription-based digital platform. We do not manufacture physical goods. Our services are delivered digitally, and our supply chain is limited primarily to:

  • Remote contractors and collaborators
  • Technology providers (such as hosting and infrastructure services)
  • Payment processors
  • Software and operational service providers

Our team includes remote editors, engineers, reviewers, and operational support contributors.

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring that individuals who work with us do so voluntarily, are compensated fairly, and are treated with dignity and respect. We expect our contractors, collaborators, and vendors to comply with applicable labor and human rights laws. We do not knowingly engage partners or service providers that participate in forced or exploitative labor practices.

Due Diligence

Given the digital nature of our business, we assess our risk exposure as low. However, we recognize that responsible oversight remains important. As part of our vendor selection process, we:

  • Engage established service providers with public commitments to lawful and ethical conduct
  • Review available documentation regarding compliance and corporate responsibility where appropriate
  • Select partners aligned with our values and operational standards

As we grow, we are committed to strengthening and formalizing our supplier review processes proportionate to our size and risk profile. If we become aware of credible concerns regarding labor practices within our operations or supply relationships, we will review the matter and take appropriate action.

Training & Awareness

Team members and contractors are informed at the outset of their engagement of our commitment to ethical business practices, including our opposition to forced or exploitative labor.

Concerns relating to labor practices connected to our operations may be reported to us at [email protected].

This statement is reviewed annually.

Policy Statement

Artificial Intelligence Statement

Effective date: February 21, 2026

We believe families deserve a clear, factual account of how artificial intelligence touches — and does not touch — what we produce and how we operate. This statement is our best effort to provide that.

Audio Narration

The narration in our library is generated using AI voice technology. We use it because it allows us to bring a wide classical library to life in a way that would otherwise be cost-prohibitive. Every title is then reviewed, edited, and quality-assured by human staff — we correct pronunciation, pacing, and tone before anything is published. We do not release content that has not passed human review.

What AI Does Not Do

AI does not make editorial decisions about our library — what titles we select, how we approach a text, or how we position our catalogue. AI does not drive our business strategy or define how we serve our families. These decisions are made by the people behind Paideia Collection, guided by our values.

Your Data & AI

We do not feed customer data into public generative AI systems. Your account information, listening history, and family profile data are not submitted to tools like ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, or similar services. If we use AI-assisted tools internally, they operate on anonymized or aggregate information only, and are governed by data processing agreements that prohibit training on our data.

Children's Profiles & AI

We will not introduce any AI-driven conversational or generative features into child-facing areas of the platform without explicit disclosure to account-holding parents and a clear opportunity to opt out.

Our Perspective

We view AI, when applied thoughtfully and with appropriate human oversight, as a tool that enables us to bring classical content to more families than we could otherwise reach. We are committed to updating this statement as our practices evolve, and to always being straightforward with the families who trust us.
